Wedding Planner Tips

While choosing the dress most brides have a fixed idea of what they like. My advice is to be open-minded and try other styles as you might be surprised and find an unexpected revelation.

In planning seating arrangements ensure you are aware of any relatives or family members that might have tension between them. Carefully plan their seating to avoid stress or conflict on the day.

Always make a list of things you would like and stick to it, its far too easy to go over budget when you do not.

Consider your venue carefully and check availability as soon as you can to avoid disappointment as you wont believe how far couples will book in advance.

Do not worry to much about the big day, everything will come together as planned.

If you are wearing a high neck wedding dress, try going for dangling earrings and a statement cuff or if you are wearing a sweatheart dress, a simple necklace with a small pendant will look amazing!

Even if you have a limited budget, consider hiring a professional wedding planner for "On the Day Coordination" service. This will ensure that everything is proceeding according to your plans.

Don't mix up a Wedding Co-Ordinator with a Wedding Planner! CoOrdinators point you in the direction, Planners ensure you have everything in the build up and then turn up to make sure it runs smoothly

Use a Wedding planner when you can, they do the work and worrying for you. You will come into an amazing room your guests will envy.

Pick whats right for you, not your family or friends, its your big day! Its about making your day memorable for the right reasons and going all out.

First thing to decide is a date. Once you have that, picking your venue and getting the ball rolling on planning is much easier.

The most important thing is that you enjoy the planning so that you enjoy the day when it comes round. You don't want to end up wishing your wedding over because the planning wasn't enjoyable!!

Consider using a website for your wedding day. You can save money on invites by using it as your Save the Dates, RSVP, Accommodation List, Gift list plus provide details of your venue, timeline etc.

Start with a budget. Make this realistic and don't get too carried away.

Eat a nice breakfast before anything

Be Organised. Research your suppliers and don't be afraid to tell them what you want. This is your day and we want to create it perfectly for you.

Having a ‘time sheet’ for suppliers to ensure smooth running on the day; even the most informal weddings need to have structure!

Don't wear a black woolly jumper if you're tying hessian bows...yikes !
